The Guna Yala region on the Caribbean coast of Panama, for more than 300 kilometers, there is a rosary of coral islands full of coconut trees, glistening white sand and crystalline jade-colored waters called San Blas. A paradise still unknown; explored by few and dreamed of by the majority. Almost 365 islands make up this beautiful archipelago that extends from the Gulf of San Blas to just before the border with Colombia, of which only 50 are uninhabited

The San Blas region is divided into 4 sectors:
-Sector 1: Cayos Limones (Recommended for stays of 1 to 4 días)
It is the most accessible sector by road although it also has an airport for private flights. This sector 1 is the most popular and most visited by tourists, but it is still super attractive and has many very interesting islands to visit. From indigenous communities to islands with wonderful white sand beaches, turquoise waters and wonderful coral reefs full of life and color. Among its most popular islands are:
-6 Communities. Perfect for interacting with the Gunas. Recommended for lovers of getting to know this fantastic culture.
-Hierva Island: (It has a very good restaurant, a bar where you can have delicious cocktails, a very good beach, baths and coral reefs.)
- Small dog: (the very famous sunken ship). It has a restaurant. It is advisable to visit it after 2:00pm since the tourists will have already left.
-Isla Diablo: It has a restaurant. It has nothing of great interest except that it is in front of Boy Dog.
-Chichimei Island: It is made up of two islands, Chcichimei Grande and Chichimei Chichi. It has a restaurant and wonderful views.
-Pelican Island: A small island in the middle of the sea with only white sand. It would be the island that we all have in our heads or that we have once had as a screensaver on our computers.
-Natural pools: They are basically sandbanks where it only covers you by the waist and will make you feel like you are standing in the middle of the sea and have some incredible photos. Recommended to visit first thing in the morning or after 3:00 pm.
-Isla Fragata or Banedub: It has a restaurant and bar. They go up to celebrate good parties at night with people from boats or backpackers going to or coming from Colombia.
-Nugnudub Island: It has a restaurant and a very good bar where you can have delicious cocktails, etc. It has a good beach and coral reefs. Highly recommended to be at dusk or at night.
-Yani Island: it has a restaurant and in the northern part of the island it has some of the most attractive spots for snorkeling among corals, full of life. Wien is very close to a small islet and it is full of starfish. Other islands, such as Grullos, are good for spending a night at anchor but without much more attraction.
-Sector 2: (Recommended for stays of 4 to 7 days)
It has an airport in the community of Nargana “Corazón de Jesus”.
-5 communities
-Another Pelicano Island: Where the famous Netflix series La casa de papel was filmed. It is very close to two other small islands where there is no one, they only stand out to take some good photos.
-Demarachub Island: It has a restaurant, bathrooms and a quiet place to anchor for the night. Island of the stars: There is only one Gunas family living there that has a good beach full of starfish because it is not very frequented by tourists.
-Salardub Island: it has a very good beach and barely a Guna family lives there.
-Cambombia Island: A very good island to anchor for one or more days as it has a good beach, good places to practice snorkeling and a meeting point for sailboats and catamarans. In this sector you can also book excursions to delve into the continent along rivers and reach dream waterfalls. Prices may range from $10 per person depending on the number of people.
-Green Island: A very beautiful small island with good places to snorkel and a lot of tranquility.
-Coco Bandero Islands: It is a group of islands that are highly recommended to visit and very little frequented by tourists that have good places to practice snorkeling. -It also has natural pools.
-The famous Dutch Cays: a set of several islands very famous for their variety and being far from tourist routes. This group of islands are perfect for relaxing and with a variety of snorkeling sites and coral reefs. It is a place to spend at least 2 or 3 days getting to know it. It has 2 restaurants.
-Sector 3 and 4:
They are the two furthest sectors and are not usually visited by tourists, except in backpacker boats.
